Folk of Europe
The fact that I haven't been writing a lot lately doesn't mean I am inactive! :)
Recording is proceeding, taking a bit longer than expected but definitely happening. We started at the end of June and after a few breaks, we are now almost ready to start the mix. I had lots of awesome people collaborating on all sides of this project and really can't wait to share it with you all. Will publish some photos here and on socials very soon, so keep an eye!
In the meantime, I had the honour to be part of an awesome project born from an idea of my friend Joseph Woods after the discouraging results of Brexit referendum. The project is called Folk of Europe and it is about sharing traditional music from across the continent, and the interplay within the traditional and the new.
For this project I recorded two home videos, one for my original Round and Round and the other one for the Neapolitan traditional song from 1766 Comme da lo Molino. Despite absolutely loving traditional Neapolitan Song, I have never performed any of them before, so for me it was very exciting and challenging. Moreover, it's a great pleasure to represent Italy among other awesome music from other european countries.
Take a look at the project, be part of it if you fancy and share it around people!
